  1. Are you licensed and insured 
    • Yes! Licensed by the City of Alexandria and insured by Travelers. 
  2. How long has The Fairy Dogmom been in business? 
    • I started the business out of my home in Old Town Alexandria in 2010! 
  3. What areas/neighborhoods do you serve? 
    • We serve Old Town, Del Ray and Rosemont. 
  4. How would you describe your team?
    • My team is THE BEST! They are so beloved by our clients. I search long and hard for the right, trustworthy, dog loving, happy people. I love to hire military spouses, stay at home Moms/Dads, retirees and grad students. I would trust each of the "Fairies" to watch my own children! All walkers are background checked. 
  5. Do you offer any discounts for multiple dogs or regular bookings?
    • If you have multiple dogs in one household, each additional dog is ​charged at $3 unless a separate walk is required. We do not offer discounts or packages for regular bookings. 
  6. How will I know my dog has been walked? Do you provide updates or reports?
    • We operate the business from a fantastic app that keeps us highly organized. You will get a walk report after every visit to include photos and a bathroom report so that you can be assured your furry friend has been taken care of while you're away. 
  7. What is your cancellation policy if I need to change a scheduled walk?
    • We require 24 hours notice in order to not be charged for a scheduled walk. This keeps walkers happy and allows me to hire a higher caliber of team members.
  8. Can I meet the dog walker assigned to my pet before the first walk?
    • Yes, daily clients will be assigned to one "Fairy" and a complimentary meet + greet will be coordinated in advance of your first walk. Clients with a more sporadic schedule aren't guaranteed the same walker, but can still coordinate a meet + greet with myself, Katie, to observe the routine and do introductions!
